public art in my city

The idea behind creating public art here in East St. Louis, all started with the word HOPE, hope for myself, hope for the children, and hope for the community. As an artist I am passionate about art, and whenever I have the opportunity to visit other cities, and especially other countries, I look for the art in general, but especially the public art. Below is Monty the Turtle, he is 6 ft. x 7ft, he is on the SIU-East St. Louis Center. A group of Head Start Children are giving Monty a test 'drive'.

 These two art  quilts as well as a couple of others are properties of SIU-E University. Creating is always satisfying, and when my work is love and purchased by others it is sheer bless and a blessing.
